Cloud Computing
What is 'Cloud Computing'
Cloud computing is a method for delivering information
technology (IT) services in which resources are retrieved from the
Internet through web-based tools and applications, as opposed to
a direct connection to a server. Rather than keeping files on a
proprietary hard drive or local storage device, cloud-based
storage makes it possible to save them to a remote database. As
long as an electronic device has access to the web, it has access
to the data and the software programs to run it.
It's called cloud computing because the information being
accessed is found in "the cloud" and does not require a user to be
in a specific place to gain access to it. This type of system allows
employees to work remotely. Companies providing cloud services
enable users to store files and applications on remote servers,
and then access all the data via the internet.
Different Types of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has three main types that are commonly
referred to as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a
Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Data Warehousing
What is Data warehouse?
A data warehouse is a technique for collecting and managing
data from varied sources to provide meaningful business
insights. It is a blend of technologies and components which
allows the strategic use of data.
Data Warehouse is electronic storage of a large amount of
information by a business which is designed for query and
analysis instead of transaction processing. It is a process of
transforming data into information and making it available to
users for analysis.
Data Mining
What Is Data Mining?
Data mining is looking for hidden, valid, and potentially useful
patterns in huge data sets. Data Mining is all about discovering
unsuspected/ previously unknown relationships amongst the
data.
It is a multi-disciplinary skill that uses machine learning,
statistics, AI and database technology.
The insights extracted via Data mining can be used for
marketing, fraud detection, and scientific discovery, etc.
