A PIZZA
"Daddy, let'i order a pizza/’ Billy said. "That sounds like
a good idea/'said his dad.
They looked ata menú they had at horne. "What kirid
doyouwant?" his dad asked. Billy wanted alarge pizza. He wanted a pizza with four
toppings. He wanted cheese, pepperoni, ham, and pineapple. Hi¿ dad said thatsounded
good.
He called the pizza place. ‘They dont have any pineapple/' dad told Billy. "What doyou
wantinstead?" Billy wanted sausage instead. His dad ordered sausage instead of pineapple.
About 30 minutes later, therewas a knock on the door. It was the pizza man. "Here'syour pizza/'
he told Billy'i dad. "That'II be SIS." Dad paid the pizza man. He alsogave him atip. Dad took the
pizza to the living roorn.
A baseball gamewas on TV. Billy and his dad started to eatthe pizza in the living roorn. "I hope
the Yankees lose," Billy told his dad. "I hope the Yankees lose, too," his dad said.

MARTÍN'§ VACAVON
Martin liad a terrible dav yesterday. It was the day of bis vacation to Spain but it was a
niglitmare. He left the liouse at 10 o’elock in the morning and caught a taxi to the airport.
Martin went to the chcck-in with his luggage. Wlicn the man who worked for the airlinc
asked for his passport, Martin became very upset. Where was his passport? Martin realized
he didn’t have his passport with him. What a disaster!
Hejumped back into the taxi and told the driver to take him lióme. The driver drove quiekly
and Martin arrived back at his liouse in tvventy minutes.
He rail into the liouse and went into his bedroom. He found his passport on the bedside
table and left the liouse again. But the taxi wasn’t tliere! Where was the taxi!
Martin jumped up and down angrily. "I don't believe it. The taxi left!" he shouted. He rail down
the Street and looked for another taxi.
After a few minutes, Martin found another taxi and told the driver to take him to the airport
as quiekly as possible. The traffíc on the roads was very bad and, unfortunately, Martin’s
taxi arrived at the airport late. His plañe left for Spain at 11.30 and Martin missed it. He was
very sad and went to speak to the airlinc. Tliey p rom i sed to get him a seat on an evening
flight and Martin went lióme on another taxi to wait.
