Status Bar
• DYN – track the movements
• POLAR – track the angle
Changes done in Tools, Drafting Setting, Snap
• SNAP- track distance for X & Y axis
• OSNAP- track the edges
• ORTHO – straight line
• OTRACK – track changes by OSNAP
Drawing Rectangle & Polygon
• Press icon rectangle
• Example
– Enter start point (0,0)
– Enter end point (6,6)
• For polygon
– Insert number of sides
– “Inscribed in circle” means inside circle
– “Circumscribed” means object surrounded the circle
– Identify the starting point
– Identify the radius
Drawing circles
• Press icon circle /type circle
• Example
– Enter centre point (6,5)
– Enter radius 3
• To use diameter, use the scroll arrow
Tangent Drawing
• Drawing a tangent circle to 2 circles
• Example
• Draw 2 circle anywhere
• 1st circle (4,5), R=2
• 2nd circle (10,5), R=3
• For the 3rd circle, click circle then use scroll arrow
find TTR (tan tan radius) and click
• Select tangent marking/placing to the 1st & 2nd circle
• Enter the any radius
Ellipse
• Select the Ellipse icon
• Two types to choose
• Draw using center point or end point
• Example
– 1st: Select center, specify center point, then
endpoint and finally distance & rotate the ellipse to
identify the shape
– 2nd: Specify end point 1, then endpoint 2 and finally
distance & rotate the ellipse to identify the shape
Ellipse Arc
• Select the Ellipse icon
• Choose Elliptical Arc
• Draw normal ellipse then identify the arc from
the ellipse shape
• Example
– Specify end point 1, then endpoint 2, then distance
& rotate the ellipse to identify the shape
– Click the 1st point to break and move along for the
next point break
Arc
• To draw free hand arc
• Example
– Select arc
– Enter 1st point
– Enter 2nd point
– Rotate accordingly to get the end point

• Example
– Draw rectangle
– Draw arc inside the box
Exercise 1
