I was born and brought up in Kozhikode and I grew up in a joint family. I completed my schooling from M.S.
S
Public School. I got my engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Government Engineering
College Kozhikode.
I have been the recipient of proficiency awards for toppers during my schooling. I was one among the five
students who achieved a CGPA of 10 in AISSE 2011. Consequently, I was selected for the Inspire Science
Camp conducted by NIT Calicut and Dept. of Science and Technology for the top 1% students from Kerala.
I have always been engaged in extra-curricular activities during school and college life. Public speaking is my
niche, and my achievements in competitions like Recitations and Elocutions speak for the same. On the
creative front, I have secured prizes in competitions like Story writing, Versification to name a few. As English
language has always fascinated me, I participated and won in Spelling Bee competitions. Directing school
dramas, anchoring during programmes at School and College, organizing farewell parties for seniors are some
of the enjoyable endeavours I had in life.
My attitude and abilities have guided me through to my future goals right from school days. I like to tackle
unexpected situations that cross one’s path of routine life – chaotic or otherwise – like the time when the
placement scenario at my college was grim and my team and I – who were a part of the Placement
Committee – were expected to bring in companies, and we did. Leadership is another attribute that I have
demonstrated at many phases in my life. When I have been entrusted with additional responsibilities such as
being the head of school committees and science clubs, organizing an Industrial Training programme and the
Placement Coordinator at my college, it has strengthened my belief that I am best suited for a managerial
position.
The only constant in the world today is unexpected change. Managers are people who help companies cope
with all different kinds of changes, and I would like to be one of them. An MBA would provide me with the
theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to attain this goal. The association I will have with the best and
brightest in the country in the 2 years of my MBA would help me to delve into the corporate world with élan.
As IIM Vizag is hailed to be one of the best in India, I would like to join this esteemed college to complete my
dream.
After I have acquired the required skill sets for being a manager, I wish to work in almost all the departments
of an organization. After I gain enough experience in every domain, I want to become a part of the strategic
decision making team of the company that I have helped to grow.
Reading is my favorite hobby. My mother instilled the love for reading in me early on. I also like cooking,
listening to music and watching TV series.
My mother is my greatest inspiration. She was considered highly educated – holding a Master’s degree in
Economics – but was married off, and became a homemaker. After a long gap, when she wanted to work
again, no school would take her – citing her age. She persisted still, and is now a teacher at a good school in
our locale. She has always told me, to be able to stand on your own feet is no mean feat. Every woman
should do that. I know that IIM Vizag gives utmost importance to women empowerment. If I could get
admission here, I could make her proud too.
