Over the past 8 years, I have directly interacted with many teams and customers (internal or external)
located at different geographical locations. These interactions mainly include understanding customer
requirements and issues, making plans for project executions, helping and understanding other teams
with overlapping issues etc. This continuous process has helped me get a global prospective of industry
which in turn helps me in pre-empting the customer requirements and potential issues. This also made
me better equipped for the future more customer facing projects.
What are your broad career objectives and
how does EPGDIB fit in to these objectives? (250 words)
After 8 years of working in the core technology area, I am comfortable with the technical aspect of
VLSI standard cell library developer, but I feel the need to have a more comprehensive understanding
of different fields of business. This would be required for my broader goal of working dedicatedly in a
Business Development and Marketing role which would be right mixture of my technical knowledge
and industry experience. This role will help me act like a bridge between the technical teams and
customer. From being a technical engineer first with informal on the job trainings on business aspects
like Marketing, Sales, Business Development etc, I want to take formal education which helps me
become a Business Development and Marketing individual.
To take the leap from informal knowledge to getting formal education is where EPGDIB fits in.
This is a course which is dedicated to International Business and Marketing which I feel is best suited
for me as customer in my field are mostly abroad. During the course, I will learn much from the diverse
student body having different experience and exposure which would be a unique experience for me.
I would be able to use the class room learnings to develop skill which I could apply continuously
through out the duration of the course.
Thus I believe that after doing EPGDIB, I will come out a much better professional with good
knowledge pool, which when combined with hard-work and dedication will help me achieve my goals.
