INDEFINITE ARTICLES – “a” or “an”?
GRAMMAR RULES
1. “A” goes before nouns starting with a consonant (b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, etc…)
2. “An” goes before nouns starting with a vowel (a, e, i, o, u)

EXCEPTIONS
1. Certain “H” words - use “an” where the “h” is not pronounced (sounds like “on” or “owl” instead)
2. Certain “U” words – use “a” where the start of the word is pronounced “you”
