Issue

The document discusses the issue of competition for grades limiting learning. While competition for grades can put students under pressure, removing grading altogether could create problems. Grading systems make students more goal-oriented and help prepare them for competition in life after school. Overall, while grading systems produce some pressure, an education system without any student assessment would not be better.

Issue Task

It has been mentioned that competition for grades limits the quality of learning at all levels of education.
Today's world is full of competition in every field rather it be studies or rather it be sports.

If competition was really the problem that puts students under pressure which ultimately limits the
quality of learning than it should also be removed from physical learning like sports, because sports is
also a learning part of a students life. Infact sports teaches us how be competitive and work hard to
achieve the goal.

Competition for high grades will limit the quality of learning, as sometimes students under pressure
before appearing for their exams might mug up. What will children after schooling do if they are not
able to compete?

The writer of the statement wants the education system to remove the grading mechanism from
schools and colleges. Although it would remove the burden from students shoulders but it will include
serious attitude problems in the lives of the students. What kind of successor will they become if they
are afraid of competition in their lives. Will the suggestion made by the writer make strong and
competitive youths?

Furthermore having a grading system and having a targeted high score in students mind will make them
more goal oriented. They will be more focused on achieving the goals that they set. Despite of the
pressure, higher grades will help students to be competitive and make them strong enough to never
back down from a problem in their future lives.

In the end, it an be concluded that although higher grading system puts pressure on the students but an
education system without any grading system will not be any better. Learning is a part of life and so is
the pressure that exams builds up in students life.
