Series & Parallel Circuit Problems

This document provides examples of series and parallel circuit practice problems. For series circuits, it states that current is the same through each component, resistance is added, and voltage is added across each component. For parallel circuits, it states that equivalent resistance is calculated as 1/Rtotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3, current is added, and voltage is the same across each branch. It then provides three example problems for series circuits and two for parallel circuits asking students to calculate current, resistance, and voltage values.

Remember…. 1) Current is the Same (I total = I 1 = I 2 = I 3)
2) Resistance is Added (R total = R 1 + R2 + R 3)
3) Voltage is Added (V total = V1 + V2 + V3)
