Purpose of the Exam Data Sheet
The intent of this data sheet is to set expectations about the content and the
context of the exam and to help candidates prepare for the exam. In this data
sheet you will find the recommended pre-requisite criteria, recommended HP
training courses and study material.
Studies conducted by HP and Prometric show that a combination of web-based
training or course attendance in addition to job experience maximizes the
likelihood of passing the exam on the first attempt.
Audience
This exam is for warranty and service delivery personnel with at least 6 months
experience. These individuals perform customer support, troubleshooting, repair
and replacement of parts for HP ProLiant Servers. Examples of these job roles
are: HP Authorized Service Partners, HP Call Center engineers, Outsourced Call
Center Agents, and HP Service engineers.
General areas of content include:
• Explain and Recognize fundamental server technologies
• Recognize and describe HP industry standard server products and
solutions
• Perform the planning and design necessary to achieve a deployable
solution

Prerequisite/Certification Requirements
The CompTIA Server + exam is required along with the Servicing HP
ProLiant Server (HP2-005) exam to obtain the APS Certification for HP
ProLiant Server.
