DECISION MAKING PROCESS
Step 1: Identify the decision
I felt the need to buy a laptop for academic purposes but I also
wanted a gaming platform, so I decided to buy a new laptop.
Step 2: Gather relevant information
I needed a laptop that I can use for work but It should also be able
to run high level games.
I called a friend who could tell me about the type of laptop I
should buy.
I searched the internet to identify the kind of specifications that I
would need in a laptop that can suit my needs.
Step 3: Identify the alternatives
I asked some friends for some well-known laptop companies
I searched the internet and came up with a few alternatives
that I liked which were: HP, DELL, APPLE, HAIER,
LENOVO, ACER, ALIENWARE.
Step 4: Weigh the evidence
From all the alternatives there were some that did not meet my
price range and some had more emphasis on one of my needs
than the other but I needed something balanced.
Among all the alternatives that I chose I learned that ALIENWARE
and RAZER were better known for their gaming capabilities and
APPLE, HAIER, LENOVO and ACER were not to my liking so that
just left HP and DELL which can be balanced between gaming
and work according to some reviews.
Step 5: Choose among alternatives
HP and DELL were both within my price range and both of them
could fulfill my needs perfectly, but HP had a better market
reputation so I decided to choose an HP laptop.
Step 6: Take action
I decided to get an HP laptop so I went to the market and bought
an HP pavilion 15 with blue color and the following specs: 1TB
hard drive, 8 GB ram, 1GB NVidia VGA etc.
