Ethics

My family is not rich but we have enough to meet our basic needs. My father works long hours to support us and I am proud of him. My mother takes care of the home and children with patience and understanding. I have a brother and sister who are both enemies and friends. Though we argue, we are protective of each other. We are a simple family with strong faith in God above all else. We celebrate important occasions together to strengthen our family bonds.

Mi Familia

Family is the smallest unit of the society, but despite the size of it family has the biggest
role in molding and shaping each one member of it. Family is somebody who will be there in
struggles and in success.

I can describe my family a very simple yet full of love family. We are not rich, just
capable enough of things what we really need, set aside things that is not significant for living
and worth for survival. My father is our protector and great mentor. He works 12 hours a day,
rain or shine just to have money sufficing the needs of our family. I am very proud of him, I may
not tell him verbally but deep inside my heart I am blessed enough to have him as my father.
Mother is someone nurturing her children and has patience enough to understand one’s
imperfections and mistakes. My mother is a simple housewife. Do almost the chores at home,
wash our clothes everyday, cook for us and even the smallest thing least we can do, she takes
responsibility to it. My mom is a kind of terror, we experienced different unexplainable words
from her but I know it’s her way of saying that she care for our betterment and goodness.
Because I believe that mothers knows best. I have 2 siblings, a brother and a sister who serves to
be my greatest enemy and best friends. I seldom tell them that I love them but I know they feel it
with all of my care and sacrifices for them. Yes! We may argue and have misunderstandings
most of the time, but one thing is for sure hurt them and deal with me.

We are not the kind of family that goes to church every Sunday, pray together everyday
but we are the kind of family that have bigger faith to God than our Ego. Trust and dedicated our
lives to the Almighty for our parents told us that God is the reason and controller of everything.
We are baptizes as Aglipayan since birth but reminded to respect whatever religion that you
have.

We practiced to celebrate such important occasions to our lives even in the simplest way
we can. We celebrate Christmas together with the whole family enjoyed much of the occasion
and by this simple way we feel that we are united. We always have our family gathering every
Sundays eat lunch in the backyard enjoying the fresh air and the presence of happiness in the
family.

In a family, there’s always misunderstandings and arguments. Like our family before my
mom and her siblings didn’t talk to each other for almost a year even though they’re living in just
one roof. Tensions and uncomfortable are usually the feelings we always feel because of the
problems that turned into more complicated thing that makes the family apart. But when
grandma went home from the states, she managed to make us united again. Make deep
conversations with her children and with the power of love as a family we became reunited and
re energize to face troubles of life. We fight problems as a family because we do believe in the
saying that blood is thicker than water. That whatever happens family will always be family.
