A preventive maintenance was performed on the fire alarm system at Building 1 and Building 2. Workers replaced faulty units and tested the system zone by zone. Some issues were encountered including pre-alarms, manual call points in fire condition, and faults with smoke detectors. The report notes some detectors were inappropriately located and there were also notification issues on alarm circuits. Overall the system and its components were visually and functionally tested and found to be satisfactory.

A. WORK ACCOMPLISHED:
 Replacement of 3 units of Manual Call Points at building 1.
 Replacement of 3 units of Horn at building 1.
 Testing of the system per zone and general alarm to ensure the proper operating
conditions.
 Testing of control panel

B. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED:
1. Pre alarm at the QA Room.
2. MCP fire condition at the CLINIC HALL-WAY and ICTC Room.
3. Six Faults in Smoke Detector at the 3M STORAGE and OKURA Warehouse.

Note: Some of smoke detector is install in an inappropriate location, and some of


notifications in alarm circuit.
