Not Be What Others Say About Your Life But What God Says

The document discusses finding one's purpose in life. It argues that personal fulfillment or happiness is not as great as serving God's purposes. To understand why one was placed on Earth, one must begin with God, as people were created by and for God's purposes. True meaning comes from comprehending and fulfilling the reasons God put people on this planet. Additionally, knowing one's purpose prepares them for eternity, rather than trying to leave a legacy, as what matters most is what God says about someone's life.

You are on page 1/ 1

The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even

your happiness. It’s far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and
ambitions. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were
born by his purpose and for his purpose.”

The most basic question everyone faces in life is Why am I here? What is my purpose? Self-help books
suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, but Rick Warren says the
starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance
comes from understanding and fulfilling God's purposes for putting us on earth.

“Knowing your purpose prepares you for eternity. Many people spend
their lives trying to create a lasting legacy on earth. They want to be
remembered when they’re gone. Yet, what ultimately matters most will
not be what others say about your life but what God says.“
