4) First Aid Measures
General Contaminated clothing should be removed and washed before being re-used.
Inhalattion Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Move the exposed
person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Ingestion DO NOT induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately. Drink plenty of
water.
Skin Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Remove and clean
contaminated cloth and shoes. Get medical attention if any discomfort
continues.
Eyes Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water. Hold eyelids apart to ensure
washing of the entire surface of the eyes and lids with water. Get medical
attention immediately. Continue to rinse.
5) Fire Fighting Measures
Extinguishing Media Use: Water spray, fog or mist. Foam, Carbon dioxide CO2. Sand,
dolomite etc.
Special Fire Fighting Avoid water in straight hose stream, will scatter and spread fire.
Procedures Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire
is out. Keep run-off water out of sewers and water sources. Dike
for water control.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Vapour-air mixture is explosive. Keep containers cool by spraying

7) Handling and Storage
Handling precautions Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Keep away from heat, sparks
and open flame. Ventilate well. Avoid breathing vapours. Use
approved respirator if air contamination is above accepted level.
Storage precautions Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage and closed containers
Storage criteria Chemical storage. Flammable liquid storage.
8) Exposure controls and personal protection
Ventilation Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation
Respirators No specific recommendation made, but respiratory protection may
still be required under exceptional circumstances when excessive
air contamination exists. In conditions where high concentrations of
vapours are present or exposure limits are exceeded, wear a
respirator that has been selected by a technically qualified person
for the specific work conditions.
Protective gloves Chemical resistant gloves required for prolonged or repeated
contact
Eye protection Wear splash-proof, chemical safety goggles to prevent any
possibility of eye contact
