INTRODUCTION :
Resort is a place where accommodation, reorientation are involved and most important in a place for employment which
drives the mind of a visitor with its diversified activities .
Traffic development and industrialization had lead to the urbanization which has stolen the mental peace. The human
created resort to his theist for the peace .
Nesting amidst lush green environs , embraced by hillocks or a forest reserve or any nature reserve , resort emerges as an
enchanting retreat for everyone . Resort is one of the few places that offer a break from the strain of hectic life style a
completely different world engulf the visitor by taking a walk along the lonely pathways or playing on the lawns and
feeling the concept of given under the feet , taking boat ride , plunging into the swimming pool pending a quite evening
and recharging for the week ahead .
In a country like India, where summer season lasts for a long time, hill stations are one of the best ways to find respite.
In fact, according to a survey people in India consider taking a vacation in some hill station as amongst their best travel
experiences. Now, it wouldn’t be incorrect to say that in order to have a great travel experience, a major role is played by
the hotel or resort that one chooses. These hotels are in fact the first impression one gets of a destination and a bad choice
can spoil just about everything. Therefore, it is important to set everything in a right direction beginning from the
accommodation option.

NEED OF THE TOPIC :


• This project being located amidst the city area of pune would be perfect for a weekend getaway or an
adventurous weekend from the monotonous mundane lifestyle. No need of making prior plans or driving all the
way out of the city for an extraordinary fun and relaxation.
• It would be meant for all age groups and all kinds of people. Hence, one can come with family or friends or
colleagues or even alone. The sensitivity of this project to the resources used to run and maintain it would make
the place pocket-friendly for a visitor with any financial status and environment friendly too at the same time.
• The first foot step to this is in improving the excellence of the activities one presently spends for relaxation.

AIM :
• To design a hill resort at Jawal Village with adventure sports and a relaxing getaway from the city’s hustling
environment.

OBJECTIVES :
• To create a space for interaction between different groups of people.
• To save and wisely use all the resources.
• To facilitate enjoyment and leisure together.
• To provide an easy getaway from daily routine.
• To increase opportunities to accommodate new professionals, young families and others within the lower and
medium income range.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS :
• With the increasing passion for hill stations and as the fondness of travelling is increasing day by day people
love to stay at hill resorts which not only connects them to the nature but also helps them to explore themselves.
• The project would help create a complete recreational hub.
• It will help develop the recreational land and maintain it with least amount of resources.
• The recreational and leisure area would be provided with a buffer from the adventure and rides area.
• The adventure activites would be in vegetation and greenery to preserve the natural habitat.
• Wood and traditional techniques would be used for relaxing spaces.

PROCEDURE :
• Understanding the topic through different case studies and through different websites and research papers.
• Selecting the plot area.
• Site visit on the plot.
• Site analysis for knowing climatic conditions, culture, surroundings of plot.
• To study the rules and regulations of the plot to apply in design process.

METHODOLOGY :
• Data collection and literature review to study and understand the requirement of the project – the function and
space needed by the various areas.
• Case study analysis
• Analysis of site
• Design criteria considering derivatives from the standards and from the case study analysis.
• Design strategy to meet the demand of design criteria.
• With the help of design strategy arriving at a design concept which finalyy leads to the evolution of design.
