Dear Parent or Guardian:

Hello! My name is Sarah Blomerth, and I am completing my student teaching in Mrs.


Trahan’s classroom this semester. After student teaching, I will be graduating from
the University of Maine at Farmington with degrees in Secondary Education and
Mathematics. As I will be interacting with your students and serving as the long-
term sub while Mrs. Trahan is on maternity leave, I wanted to take the opportunity
to introduce myself.

I am a graduate from Madison Area Memorial High School and have lived in this
area my whole life. I am also a coach for the Rec Department’s grade 1-3
competition cheering team. I am very passionate about education and am looking
forward to further developing my teaching skills in a classroom filled with your
students.

My goal is to keep a similar structure that students have come to know in Mrs.
Trahan’s classroom, while bringing in even more hands-on activities and diverse
learning experiences. Having completed my practicum in an 8th grade classroom, I
am thrilled to be up at the high school level. My greatest goal is to teach your
students and help them succeed, while demonstrating to them that they have
personal responsibility in their success.
