EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF MODELING /
DEMONSTRATION OF THE TASKS WHEN
ASSIGNING THEM TO YOUR STUDENTS.
Modeling is a way to teach our rules. It involves
demonstrating the specific behaviors and language
patterns of an expectation.
The importance of modeling to engage children in the
classroom and give children feedback and frequent
opportunities to participate in class.
For example:
Show Respect
I model respect to my children by listening to them and
showing them that I care about things that are
important to them. I also encourage respectful
behavior through classroom discussions about how to
show respect to others and what behaviors are
disrespectful. And I praise children when they show
respect.
DESCRIBE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES YOU PLANNED THAT
ENCOURAGED STUDENTS TO WORK IN PAIRS OR A
GROUP
First, when I make the lesson plan I look for all thing in my
lesson are clearing, for example, the outcomes and my personal
goal. so, when I teach the children, they understand what are
they learning.
Also, I made the activities that can students work in groups and
pairs. For example, I teach a math lesson about more and less. I
used natural materials to engage children like fruit, biscuit,
grapes, ect…. I put two pages, one has more and one has less.
Then, each two-child will be counting the materials and write the
numbers and then see which one is more and which is less.
WHAT ACTIVITIES YOU DESIGNED THAT HELP
STUDENTS TO DISCUSS AND COMMUNICATE
TOGETHER.
In the role-play center, students can discuss and
communicate together because role-playing is a
great way to expand empathy.
For example, Flower Shop
children recreating a flower shop during spring.
The kids will learn about different flowers, the
seasons they usually bloom in, and their
alternative names too. I will ask them to make
flower cutouts and arrange them in beautiful
bouquets with attractive ribbons. This role-play
could also strengthen their math skills when they
count flowers, and sell the bouquets to their
customers.
WHAT DIFFICULTIES DID YOU FACE IN
PLANNING TEN DIFFERENTIATED LESSON
PLANS TO ENSURE THAT THEY INCLUDED A
RANGE OF ACTIVITY TYPES FOR THE WHOLE
CLASS, GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS-REFER TO
YOUR FIRST PLANNED LESSONS FOR TASK 1.
I had difficulty with a child with ADHD and
another child. They work together at the math
center but they can't sit together because the kid
hit the kid with ADHD. When I asked him why you
hit him, he said because he does not understand
how to do the activity. Next time, I will put all
special needs together and other children together.
EXPLAIN HOW WILL YOU ASSESS THE
STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT OF THE LEARNING
OBJECTIVE?
When I teach them the more and less,
I did the formative assessment at the end of the
lesson to see if the children understand the
means of “more and less”. I did two corners.
One side has five carrots and the other side has
two bananas. I asked the children to see around
them and found the picture of carrots and
bananas. After they found I asked them which
one is more and which one is less. The children
answered correctly, the carrots are more and
the bananas are less.
PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF AND DESCRIBE THE FORMATIVE AND SUMMATIVE
ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENTS SUCH AS CHECKLISTS, GRADING SCALES,
RUBRICS, TESTS AND PROJECTS ETC. YOU PLANNED OR INTEND TO USE IN
THE FUTURE TO EVALUATE STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN A VARIETY OF
ACTIVITY TYPES
Formative assessment:
Teach younger kids: allows the children to explain how
they understand the lesson. Teach a friend is a good
strategy for determining if students understand a
concept or process is to have them teach it to a friend.
Red/green card: use the green card helps to explain
these children understand the activity and the idea of
the lesson. when they face problem or miss some
information this time the red card help them during
raise it
Summative assessment: Documentation portfolio.
Take photo while the children work in the classroom.
WHICH TEACHING STRATEGIES DID YOU FIND WERE
PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE AND EXPLAIN WHY WITH
REFERENCE TO EDUCATIONAL THEORY AND/OR
EXPERIENCE?
Teaching strategies did I find were particularly
effective collaborative Learning based on the
theorizing of Vygotsky. Collaborative learning is
to encourage students of mixed abilities to work
together by promoting small group or whole class
activities. Also, students will develop their self-
confidence, as well as enhance their
communication and critical thinking skills.
For example, acting out a short drama.
