Loadings On Beam:: The Staircase Is Modeled and Designed in STAAD With The Following Loads

The document describes the modeling and design of a staircase in STAAD. It includes the various loads applied to the beam supporting the staircase, including live load, dead load from reinforcement bars, self-weight, and total load. The total factored load is calculated to be 8 kN/m. Bending moment is calculated to be 3 kN-m. Load properties and section properties are provided for the ISMC 75 beam and ISMC 100 beam to be designed to support the loads.

Design

The staircase is modeled and designed in STAAD with the following loads.

Loadings on Beam :
Live Load = 5.00 KN/m2
Total Live Load on Staircase = 5.00 x 0.87
= 4.35 KN/m

Dead Load 50x10 bars = 0.050 x 0.01 x x 78.50 x 0.81

= 0.03 KN/m

total bars = 1.5 / 0.05

= 30.00 No.

total Dead Load 50x10 bars = 1 KN/m (Assumed)

total load = 0.025 x 78.50 x 22

= 43.18 KN/m

Self Weight of Connection = 0.50 KN/m (Assumed)

Total Load = 4.35 + 0.95 + 0.50 + 43.18 = 5.30 KN/m

factored load 5.30 x 1.5 = 7.9556625 KN/m
Bending moment 7.96 x 1.500 1.500
8
= 2.24 = 3 KN-m
Total Live Load on stringer Beam = 4.35 = 2.175 KN/m
