PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING

SYSTEM

SYNOPSIS

This project entitled “PRODUCTION MONITORING SYSTEM” is

developed for MAHENDRA PUMPS PVT.LTD. This system is mainly developed to

over come the confusion that exists in the production department.

The system is designed in such a way so that it assists the manager to decide the

delivery dates as soon as the indent arrives to the headquarters. The system is designed

in such a way that the manager is able to check the stock in hand and if required give an

indent to the purchase manager without any delay, which was been faced previously.

The system is effective as every detail is stored in a separate database such that

any new indent arrived can be updated, if necessary any modification can be

done or deleted. This updating, modification, and deletion of record reduced the

paper work of the manager and delay in delivery.

In this system a separate list called pending list is maintained to check if the

indent is delivered on the fixed delivery date, if so it is removed from the list else a

reminder is given and remains in the list. This system has reduced the confusion and

eased the work of the manager in maintaining the records that existed before.

The project “PRODUCTION MONITERING SYSTEM” is developed using

Visual Basic.net as front end and SQL Server 7.0 as the back end.
