Excel Practical Activity

Complete the following activity in Microsoft Excel then send to your teacher. Take a picture when
you are finished and send it.

You are required to:

 Use a header with font size 8, place your name on the right and date on the left. (__/1 Mark)
 Insert a formula to calculate the COST for each item. (__/1 Mark)
 Insert a heading in the E1 entitled: GCT (__/1 Mark)
 Insert a heading in the F1 entitled: Cost including GCT (__/1 Mark)
 Insert the following data in the cells indicated.
Cell G1 – GCT Rate
Cell G2 – 15% (__/2 Marks)
 Calculate the GCT on the Cost of each item (Cost * GCT) (__/2 Marks)
 Bold the headings (__/1 Mark)
 Adjust the width of the Product column and Cost including GCT columns to 18. All others
should be adjusted to 12. (__/1 Mark)
 Copy the table to two other worksheets (__/2 Marks)

 Sort the entire first table by unit price in descending order. (__/1 Mark)
 Format the unit prices so that they will be displayed as currency. (__/1 Mark)
 Insert two blank rows above the table and place the following heading in Cell A1 with a font
size of 16 and a font colour of Blue, Centred across all the headings: (__/5 Marks)

 In the first sheet do the following
o In Cell A15 type the label Total Cost
o In Cell A16 type the label Average Cost
o In Cell A17 type the label minimum Cost
o In Cell A18 type the label Biggest Cost (__/1 Mark each)
o Use the appropriate formula to apply the actions to Cost including GCT Column
Rows 15 to 18. (__/8 Marks)
