ABSTRACT
FACTORS AFFECTING LOCATION

Facility location is the process of determining a geographic site for a firm’s operations A right
location of business ensures the success of the organisation in the competitive environment so every
business firm is required to make a sound location decision . A location Factor is the reason for a
factory's placement. It is also one of the determinants which success of the organisation, growth and
profit it will receive The project would envisages various factors influencing the decision related to
location include non geographic and geographic factors and would bring out the detailed
explanation of all the factors .The project would throw light upon the need and the importance of
determing the factors of location. It would high light the causes that originates the location decision
problem. The project would include the steps required for location selection and method of facility
location selection . It would bring out the difference between general and specific location faction as
well as uncontrollable and controllable factors The project would also include the types of location.

Location helps the business to achieve its objective and goals of the company easily in the
competitive market and to be able to stand in market at a higher footing. Therefore location should
be selected as it can satisfy the most of the needs in the long run.
