SALVAGING SANSHA WRECKS FOR AN ALPHA PILOT
WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT
Probably most of new players wonder what can be a good way to earn some starting in game
cash, while studying the game and learning to play it as a fresh alpha clone pilot. And preferably
without too high requirements for skills as well as investments (which obviously a new player
can't afford). Therefore I'll explain in this guide how to salvage wrecks of Sansha Incursion ships
that are usually left over by the fleets that are farming Sansha Incursions. You actually can
follow this guide as soon as you log into the game with fresh new character. I took for the test
fresh new Ammarian pilot and needed to train only one extra skill "Energy Grid Upgrades level
2" in order to pilot the ship I'll show below. And the ship itself with all the fit costs 1.5 to 2.0
million ISK, depending on the prices in the market, which is really affordable for a new player
who has done some starting career missions or shot some NPC "rats" in asteroid belts for
bounties. You can use any race frigate which can be piloted by your character. You can even
start doing it with a noobship you get for free, but the ship and the fit for it I show below, is kind
of optimal, never the less low cost.

This fit is for those, who want to have at least a bit of tanking capability in case if you'll get
agroed by NPC, which sooner or later will happen, but I'll warn you in advance, that even with
those tanking modules your ship won't last too long, so get used to the idea, that you'll probably
loose ship sooner or later, and may be even several ships over time, but the good thing is that
you'll be earning more than they cost way faster.
One more optional fit is for those who are not too paranoiac and want more speed and agility

WHERE
Once you got one of these ships or ship of other faction according to your character's race, you
need to get to the place where all the action is going on. You need to find active Incursions.
Click the Journal on your Neocom task bar on the left of your screen, choose Incursions tab, and
then Global Report.
This is where you'll see the list of the active Incursions for that moment. Usually there are up to
7 constellations where Sansha Nation Incursions are active - 3 of them are in zero security
constellations, 1 is in low security constellation and 3 are in high security constellations. These
can determined by colored numbers near the constellation name. You'll need high sec. incursions
for our task (0.5 or higher security). The next important thing to know is weather that Incursion
constellation is being actively farmed. you can determine it by blue or red line below Warzone
Control: if its red, the constellation is not being farmed. If it's partially red and partially blue,
then it's either fresh and just started or not many players farm there. The blue usually means it is
actively farmed and that's the one you need to go to.
Once you arrive to that constellation, there will be several systems with a different sorts of
Incursion sites, that can be seen by the beacons on your overview. Though you can try salvaging
in different systems, the one which I would recommend to concentrate on is system with
HeadQuarter size sites - the biggest, hardest and most profitable. You will recognize that system
by the types of Incursion sites in it:
True Power Provisional Headquarters (TPPH later on)
Nation Rebirth Facility (NRF later on)
True Creations Research Center (TCRC later on)
The Kundalini Manifest
It will look on your overview like this:
FINAL PREPARATIONS
So once you found this system, you are almost ready to start earning your money, but just a
couple more things to do before that:
Create a new tab on your overview and name it Loot
And make sure that you have only wrecks and drones shown on it
there might be other things shown in that tab, but if you want easy and comfortable run, have the
minimum things showing up on this tab.
Next thing you need to adjust is your directional scan.
Set up your Directional scanner to scan at the range of 200 000 km and the angle to 360 degree.
MY PRECIOUS
Once you have done it, you can start looking for your treasures.
As I wrote before, you'll see 4 types of Incursion sites in the system.
The Kundalini Manifest is the site of mother ship, which will usually be left away by the
farming fleets as once this site is completed, the incursion ends up in all the constellation and
fleets will need to move on to other place. So it won't happen often. And you won't have much to
do in this site. Unless you want to try to steel the loot from mother ship, but that I won't
recommend and won't teach how to do that anyway.
TCRC is very specific site. Fleets that farm it usually kill just a fraction of NPC inside,
therefore there is not much to salvage there and then they kill the Sansha tower and warp out,
leaving NPC alive, which is bad news for you as that very NPS can agro you and kill your ship.
Therefore I would reccomend to avoid these sites at the beginning, until you'll learn the ropes
and be more sure in your capabilities. Good thing about these sites for you is that this is the place
where drones are being left often and you might get profit on that, or... loose your ship. But who
wants to live for ever anyway :-)
TPPH is the site which consists of 3 pockets. There will be about 4 large wrecks in each of the
first two pockets and a lot more in the last one. Salvaging all the large wrecks will earn you
around 5.5 million ISK in salvage plus drones, that are being left over in this site very often and
as there are 3 pockets, some manage to leave some drones before each jump :-)
NRF is the site which is most interesting for beginning salvager as there will be only one
pocket, thus less to travel around and you'll get about 7.5 millions in salvage from large wrecks
there. You can get even up to 10 millions if you salvage all, but as I told before, it's not
recommended time wise.
THE PROCESS
Choose the beacon of Incursion site and warp to it. Once you land over the accelaration gate,
select loot tab in your overview and hit the scan button, then look what it will reveal. If it shows
no results, most probably noone farms that one and all the NPCs in it are alive - don't take that
gate or else you'll probably get killed there. If Direct scan shows wrecks inside and multiple
drones like in the image above, then there is fleet inside and that means you can start salvaging.
Take the gate and roll on. Once inside the site, sort your overview according to the type objects
on it (click once on tab type there) and look for Sansha's Large Wrecks. Set your orbit radius to
2000 m,
Switch on Microwarpdrive and go orbiting your closest big wreck, once within range activate
salvagers and circle them until you get the wreck salvaged. Once it's done, switch to another
wreck rinse and repeat. Keep moving all the time with MWD on, as your speed is your life while
NPC is still alive. And once it's dead, your speed is your profit, so still... do it fast. You'll see a
lot of medium and small wrecks on overview, but I would recommend to salvage only the large
ones. The reason for that is that the salvage from the medium and small ones will net you only
about 1/3 of the salvage you'll get from the large wrecks, but it will take a lot more time. There
fore it's more effective to salvage the large wrecks and move on to other site. Before you leave
the site, check overview for left over drones (you don't think I told you to include them into your
overview for no reason, don't you?). If there are drones left on site, you can scoop them up and
sell along with the salvage. if you are lucky enough and happen to gather Gecko or Agmented
Ogres, you'll earn quite a juicy cash for them. And that will happen quite often.
BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY
One more thing which you might find helpful and which might save some time while preparing
for all this journey is to get onto chat channels of Incursion farmers which will help to see which
constellation they are in, where is the HQ system and are they active at the moment. Then, who
knows, may be in couple of months when you'll gather some cash and get necessary skills, you
might want to join them as well - the initial ships for Incursion fleets might be piloted in about
40 days, starting with fresh character with the proper training, so maybe... maybe :-) But for the
starter just get connected and that's how it's done:
Connect to the in game chat channel Incursion Public.
There you'll find an almost full list of communities that are actively farming Sansha Incursions.
Choose the community which fits your time zone and as I wrote above, you are most interested
in communities that are farming HQ sites.
Once on their channel, check out their MOTD (message of the day) and it will usually direct you
right where you need.
