Part 1- Research Papers Overview:

1. Based on the reading on the overview of doing a research paper, describe
your understanding of the research process and your expectation from this
course.
2. Which among the steps in the research process briefly presented in the
overview you found very interesting at. How do you think it would help you in
this course?
3. With your personal assessment, what elements and steps in doing a
research you consider as weakness and challenging? Expound by giving
attitudinal and technical factor to your contention.

Part 2 – Research Defined

1. Reading the article on the link provided on Research Defined and other
suggested references in the Course Guide, come up with the following:
a. A personal but comprehensive technical definition or research by
synthesizing at least five (5) definitions and discussions from reputable
authors.
b. Present and discuss at least three (3) reach topics you intend to work for
your Research Proposal as a terminal requirement of the course.

ANSWERS

The research process involves identifying, locating, assessing, and analyzing

the information you need to support your research question, and then
developing and expressing your ideas. These are the same skills you need
any time you write a report, proposal, or put together a presentation.
Library research involves the step-by-step process used to gather information
in order to write your paper, create a presentation, or complete a project. As
you progress from one step to the next, it is often necessary to rethink, revise,
add additional material or even adjust your topic. Much will depend on what
you discover during your research.
The research process can be broken down into seven steps, making it more
manageable and easier to understand. This module will give you an idea of
what's involved at each step in order to give you a better overall picture of
where you are in your research, where you will be going, and what to expect
at each step.
I am expecting to learn of the strategies and techniques in doing research. I
find this curse very intimidating due to the rigorous pace and the patience
needed in doing experimentation and data gathering. I hope that this course
will enlighten me of the vague and challenging part of the course outline. I will
cope up in this course. I can do this!!
2. Narrow Your Topic: As you do research, you may form a question that you
want to answer or find that a lot of information is available about a particular
aspect of your topic. This topic is very interesting. From general to specific.

Pointers are needed to achieve this step and the professor can assist in this
topic by giving tips on how to do it.
3. Doing Library Research. That is the step that is very challenging due to
broad scope of information that needs to be narrowed down. Integrity of the
research is an important factor that should be instilled in the research so non
stop gathering of information to find the best solution needed in the topic.
PART 2.
1.A According to The Merriam- (Webster online Dictionary). A studious inquiry
or examination, especially; investigation or experimentation aimed at the
discovery and interpretation of facts, revision of accepted theories or law in
the light of new facts or practical application of such new or revised theories
or law.

According to Waltz and Bansell (1981). Research is a systematic, formal,

rigorous and precise process employed to gain solutions to problems or to
discover and interpret new facts and relationships.

According to Kothari (2006). Research is a pursuit of trust with the help of

study, observation, comparison and experiment, the search for knowledge
through objective and systematic method of finding solutions to a problem.

According to Payton (1979). Research is the process of looking for a specific

question in an organized, objective, reliable way.

Kerlinger (1873). Research is a systematic controlled, empirical and critical

investigation of hypothetical propositions about the presumed relations among
natural phenomena.

For me, research is a systematic and analytical finding of a solution of a

certain problem by rigorous data gathering and interpretation of facts.

Student Reading Levels

The reading level of students in Sabino Rebagay Memorial High School.

Public education system is an ongoing concern. Reading is one of the

fundamental ways in which we keep ourselves informed and process
information, and it's only becoming more critical with the advancement of our
society . Recent political changes, and much-publicized changes in
government-level education administration, have brought reading levels and
comprehension back to the forefront of the public mindset. This has had the
potentially unintended consequence of making the present day an excellent
time to focus on this as an issue.

Effects of bullying at school.

Bullying has become a very serious problem in many educational

establishments around the world. Some people experience this kind of
unwanted behavior even at school.

The Impact of social media on educational leadership.

As the leader of the school, the principal needs to be involved in the social
media platforms of choice for their school. Part of the role of the principal is
relationship building and, whether some principals like it or not, our school’s
relationship building has moved into the realm of social media over the past
few years. By leaving the social media experience up to their marketing
departments or other leadership persons in the school, today’s school
principal misses out on an incredible opportunity to connect with members of
their community (and beyond) that they normally might not be able to. I think
that the majority of school heads are aware of this opportunity now, see its
importance, and most are becoming more involved.
