1. Convert the following pressure gradients to mud weights:

Gradient Mud Wt.

a. .56 psi/ft = 10.76 ppg

2. Convert the following mud weights to pressure gradients:

a. 10.4 ppg = 0.5408 psi/ft

3. Calculate the mud weights required to balance the following formation


pressures:

a. 3,500 psi at 7,000 feet 9.62 ppg

c. 12,000 feet MD/10,500 feet TVD


with 9,000 psi. 16.49 ppg

4. Calculate mud weight required for these wells:

a. BHP = 9,800 psi, Depth = 9,800 feet
