POWER TRUTH: Jesus is the reason


for Christmas.
POWER VERSE: “Behold, the virgin

name Immanuel” - Isaiah

OBJECTIVES: At the end of this lesson,


the children will be able to:
1. Know the reason for Christmas
2. Declare how great our God is
3. Demonstrate faith in God

CRAFTS

Materials: Manger and baby cut-out

Instructions
1. Let the children color the manger and
baby cut out.
2. Help them as they stick the manger
cover.

SAMPLE SPIEL: What are we celebrating tonight? Today we are going to talk about the
reason we celebrate Christmas.

PRAISE & WORSHIP

The team has the option to choose praise and worship songs preferably related
to the topic. Let’s emphasize that Praise and Worship is a way for them to show God
just how much they love Him. During Praise and Worship, they should even let their
heart “sing” for God. They would feel joy also as they sing and dance for Him.

Transition Song: JOY TO THE WORLD, O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL, SILENT NIGHT

Our story today is very special. Do you know what we are about to celebrate this
tonight? That's right! Christmas! Today we will discover why we have Christmas and
why we celebrate it every year.

But before that, let us first sing the Bible Time Song!

(Sing the Bible Time Song. It would be better to show a real Bible.)
Here we are now the Bible time, Bible time, Bible time.
Here we are now the Bible time, so let’s sit down and listen.
Open our eyes so you can see
Open your ears so you can hear
Open your nose so you can smell
Clap your hands and zip your mouth.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember that it is about Jesus. He is


Immanuel meaning “God with us.” He is the ultimate gift from God. He saves us from
our sins.

CONNECT
Jesus is the reason for Christmas. His name Immanuel means God with us. He is
man and God at the same time. He is God’s gift for the salvation of our sins.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,
Thank you God for sending Jesus. He is God with us. Thank you
for He is a gift for the salvation of our sins. Teach us Holy Spirit to be
like him. In Jesus name, Amen!
