A damage control plan/booklet is not required by the relevant Convention/Code. For classification matters only, Germanischer Lloyd requires that for each ship a damage control plan is to be
prepared, for which a damage stability calculation is to be performed.

2. All plans, manuals and other documents required by the various IMO conventions to be carried on board ships constructed on or after 1 July 2005
should be marked with the IMO ship identification number in a clearly legible and unambiguous manner (MSC. Circular 1142).
