1. Issue
Due to “driver signature enforcement” feature of Windows 10 and 8, the driver for Emdep USB rack
cannot be installed normally. Please, launch Wintestem installer after disabling temporary this driver
signature enforcement. Refer to point 2 to see how to do it.
Additionally, when running Wintestem be sure to have proper permissions on c:\emdep-2 folder. To
discard any problem related with permissions, you could run Wintestem as administrator.
2. Disable driver signature enforcement
Follow next steps to disable driver signature enforcement:
1. Hold down Shift key while you click on Restart option in Windows

2. When computer restarts, select the Troubleshoot tile on the Choose an option screen

4. Click the Startup Settings tile
5. Click the Restart button to restart the PC into the Startup Settings screen

6. Type 7 or F7 at the Startup Settings screen to activate the Disable driver signature enforcement
option
The PC will boot with driver signature enforcement disabled, allowing you to install Emdep USB rack
drivers during Wintestem installation process.
