LEARNING CHALLENGES
Clinical learning is a main part of nursing education. Students’ exposure to clinical learning
environment is one of the most important factors affecting the teaching-learning process in clinical
settings. Identifying challenges of nursing students in the clinical learning environment could improve
training and enhance the quality of its planning and promotion of the students.
We, as the researchers, aim to explore the challenges of BSN level 3 students in the clinical
learning environment.
 Qualitative method using content analysis approach
 Subjects will be the BSN level III students of UNP who are enrolled this 1st semester of AY 2020-
2021. They will be chosen to be the subject of the study because they belong to the same level
as we are (as the researchers).
 Subjects will be chosen using purposive sampling method.
 We will be utilizing questionnaire and interview in data gathering using google form and
messenger as our medium.
 Why is there a need for that to study? To determine if the challenges experienced by nursing
students affect their improvement and learning in the clinical setting and in community health
nursing.
 Research questions:
a. What are the challenges nursing students are experiencing during clinical and community
health nursing duties?
b. How could these challenges affect the performance of nursing students during duties?
c. Could these challenges help nursing students improve and enhance their skills and
knowledge in nursing education?
