A Project Report: Technical Answer To Real World Problems (TARP-MEE399)

This document is a project report on piezoelectric power generation. It discusses using piezoelectric materials to generate electricity from wasted human energy, such as from footsteps. The report outlines the objectives, which include sustainably harnessing energy from densely populated areas where many people are constantly in motion. It then provides background on piezoelectricity and describes the methodology, components, materials and applications of the piezoelectric energy generation system. The overall aim is to convert wasted kinetic energy from human movement into usable electricity.

PIEZOELECTRIC POWER GENERATION

Abstract:

In current conditions, the lack of energy is a real concern for both economic development and
rural development. Power shortages have an impact on the growth of India. We need to
develop powerful electricity generation technologies to solve certain types of problems with the
aid of wasting human capital for our brighter future.

The idea is to collect and transform the generally wasted energy surrounding a system into
electrical energy that can be used to prolong the life of the power supply of that system or
potentially provide an infinite source of power to an electronic device that has contributed to the
recovery of power. Using piezoelectric materials is among the most significant ways to extract
the energy surrounding a process. This method uses piezoelectric components where
piezoelectric effects directly transform deformations generated by various means to electrical
charge. Energy produced may subsequently be controlled or preserved for further use.

When people step on the floor, this paper is all about power production. Think of the powers
expend while a human run, which is wasted. The principle is to transform energy from stress to
electrical energy.

The output from the transformer is fed to the
rectifier. It converts A.C. into pulsating D.C. The
rectifier may be a half wave or a full wave

because of its merits like good stability and full

. Results and discussion:
The use of surplus electricity at the same time is
very motivating to achieve a strong voltage and
current at such a low rate. The assembly thus
significantly strengthens the cost-
effectiveness issue, and the work is on to
further develop the system's outcomes.
The output power is directly
proportional to the pressure applied. No
constant output is seen unless a high
frequency of stepping on it and off it is
present.It has certain dis-advantages of
heavy weights or loads. When the area of the
cells are increased the power output is also
increased.
