LEARNING FEEDBACK DIARY
During our stay at pay ward 2 we acquired some knowledge from the staff of pay ward 2
in Cagayan Valley Medical Center to prepare myself. I felt nervous because ma’am
Obispo will guide us in the area and it was my first time to work with her in clinical area.
But as we go on our duties, the nervous subsided into a relaxing feeling. I am glad that I
appreciated the beauty of handling different kinds of cases present in the ward. It was a
great opportunity for me to learn and manage different kind of cases as we go on to our
duty. I am also proud that we showed to everyone how effective nursing we are. On the
first day I handled a patient who has a COPD it was my first time to handle a patient like
that and as my duty goes on I have seen and appreciated the symptoms present in a
patient who has COPD and I have learned a lot to manage the symptoms. I also learned
how to communicate effectively in dealing with our patients. From what happened to my
group mate, it emphasized the importance of the 5 rights in administering a drug to the
patient. My C.I wants us to have hands on contact to our patients and allowed us to
input data on the real patients chart to let us feel that we will do this job when we are
already Registered Nurses. We’ve learned to be more careful and have focus on what
we are doing.
