RESEARCH AT ITS FINEST: A REFLECTIVE ANALYSIS

“Research is creating new knowledge.” is a quotation to ponder from a very renowned personality
Niel Armstrong. Well, experience really would teach us if we have created new knowledge. But the
question is do we really create knowledge after doing research?

Yes, based on the videos that my classmates have made, the answer to the question above is yes.
Research could actually create new knowledge and new learning. These knowledge and learning will
be our basis again and again to gain another new knowledge and that is the cycle of research- a
repetitive process of gaining new knowledge. The vital role of research in humanity is its contribution
to make life easy that is why many inventions now a days have been made to give ease to humanities.
Like, machines, equipment, appliances, utensils and many more are actually products of research that
help people continue life easily. But, to assess the importance of this is through its effectivity to the
life of humanity. Is the product of research helpful to humankind? If yes it is important, if no then it is
worthless.

Through this set-up, nowadays, researchers would actually deal with researches that contribute
knowledge to literature which will help enhance the life of people. This is actually true because
majority of my classmates including me have said that research really is important as this can give
important understanding on our own individual end. Research will give us the knowledge about
certain problem and eventually lead us to find solution to the problem.

Moreover, I also found out that by simply watching those videos I realized that I did research. I knew
that each of us has this specific importance based on what we expereinced. Like me, by just simply
cooking foods and to make it delcious you need to employ research and that is important. Another
one has also said that without research there will be no technology that people would enjoy now
because according to him research addresses problems and creates inventions.

So, research brings many things to humanities and these are products of human knowledeg because
people do not settle for mediocrity in terms of knowledge they keep on seeking knowledge to find
ease in life. It would be best fitted to this description “Research: Hungry and Thirsty of Knowledge”.
