Lab 14

This document describes a lab task to design an R-2R ladder digital-to-analog converter (DAC) in Simulink with a maximum resolution of 0.02 volts and a full scale reading of 5 volts. Students are instructed to test their voltmeter by applying voltages at 10% intervals of the full scale to a 1 ohm resistor and measuring voltages at the ladder points, confirming the readings through calculation using the given voltage formula. The resolution percentage is defined as the inverse of twice the number of bits minus one, multiplied by 100.

Lab 14 - ADC & DAC Lab

Task:
Design using Simulink R-2R Ladder with maximum
resolution of 0.02 volt and to full scale reading of 5 volt.

Test your voltmeter at 10% intervals of the full scale

voltage value applied on 1 ohm resistance at output.
Measure the voltage at the ladder points and confirm the
reading by calculation.
