CAD Integration of Detect3D Software
Almost all Detect3D projects use CAD form PDMS, PDS or SmartPlant3D via the DGN file import. AutoCAD DWG, DXF and
standard CAD formats (STEP, IGES, OBJ and STL) are also accepted.
Gas Mapping with Detect3D Software
The coverage of gas detector layouts is calculated based on the "design gas cloud" approach popularized by the UK
HSE, BP and Shell.
Point and open path gas detectors can be added to the simulation. Coverage can be visualized using contours and
isovolumes.

Hazmap3D Flame Detection Coverage Assessment
The flame detectors are represented as three dimensional cones depicting each detector's field of view, with any
obstructions reducing this correspondingly. This 'footprint', as this file is called, is then represented based upon detector
manufacturer’s information and equated to the required detection distance for each grade as shown.
