Last Love
by J.D. Mariposa
Best of friends
together took a leap
Now true friends
ahh! feelings run deep
Two hearts fused
hands ever entwined
Ti's all worth the wait
to care for one as kindly
Never, never too late
to love but not blindly
So, to you my friend first,
my last love, I say
I'll be true every and
each of my waking day!

1. What does each stanza mean?
1st Stanza
Best of friends together took a leap. Now true friends ahh! feelings run deep.
It says that the friendship of these best of friends had been tested. And they were
able to conquer it together. They found out that they love each other after battling
those trials in life and their bond now is much stronger than before.
2nd Stanza
Two hearts fused, hands ever entwined
It says that, after their friendship had been test by storms in life, their friendship
creates a bond that would never break even the hardest times in others words they
found it unbreakable and no one could ever separate them.
3rd Stanza
Ti's all worth the wait, to care for one as kindly. Never, never too late, to love but not blindly
It says that, finding a true friend is not that easy, it should be tested by times. But
after you found your true friend that would you care for and care for you, it is worth
the wait. And when you love someone, you don’t have to be blind, if he/she had
done wrong you should tell him/her that it is wrong or correct them. You should be
open to each other.
4th Stanza
So, to you my friend first, my last love, I say I'll be true every and each of my waking day!
It says that, to his/her best friend/true friend that he would be true each and every
day. No more secrets to keep, I would like to borrow a line from a Series in Netflix
“Stranger Things” that they always state “Friend don’t Lie” it is there top rule.
Everyone should be true to each other.
2. What realities about friendship and love does the poem convey?
It conveys that, friendship is not just ordinary, it should be a combination of love.
Because once you love someone, you are afraid to lose them and in order for you not
to lose them you should care for them and be always true to them. In reality, most of
your friends where there for you when you have anything, but when you have the
less they just forget you and turn their back on you.
It shows how love conquers every problem and difficulties we thought that it would
never exist. As long as the person you loved is with you, you became motivated and
active in every walk that you take. You can do things beyond limits and then you
also learn that when you loved, it’s risky. So take every step of your way and learn
from your mistakes.
3. According to the poem, WHEN and HOW should one love?
We should love someone when that person were there in your hardest times not
just the times when you have everything but the times when you have left nothing.
Love them like you don’t expect something in return.
To love someone, you should care for them and be true to them always. You should
not kept secrets from them, because true friends don’t lie to each other. Love them
like you don’t want something in return from them, and that would be a real love
and a real friendship to be kept forever.
