CELTA
A one-way stop to make an impact on the world.

Since my childhood, I have been dreaming to become a teacher and to be able to work as such abroad. That is why
when I applied to University, I chose Foreign Philology (English). During my university years, I got even more hooked to
the English language. As soon as I graduated from the University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in linguistics, my
further interest and engagement in the English language led me to CELTA.

I am more than eager to start this renowned course. CELTA will be an inevitable part of my professional path and it will
help me broaden my knowledge in order to achieve my goal of becoming an independent teacher and bring
something more not only in the classrooms but also into the student's hearts. CELTA will open various doors to the
future which will allow me to teach English by building an interesting and unique environment for my future students.

During my stay in the USA among native English speakers, I found out that the language is far more complex and
challenging than people think. Combined with the experience I collected at the Nazarbayev Intellectual school and
Cambridge Student center I managed to build a foundation of vital skills and qualities, which I am confident will be
helpful and beneficial to my studies over the duration of this course.

One more important reason for me to perceive CELTA comes from my very own learning experience. Throughout the
years, while I have been learning English, I felt that I have been doing it the wrong way until a teacher with a CELTA
certificate entered our classroom at school. She was able to enlighten and inspire us with her teaching methods. The
difference between her and all of our previous teachers was remarkable. She made me fall in love with the English
language even more and motivated me to set higher standards and goals so that one day when I enter a classroom the
students will feel the same as I did when I was on the other side of the desk.

Sadly, nowadays the teacher's role in the classroom is undervalued. In my opinion, the importance of the teacher has
been, is, and will always be of significant importance. The teacher must be able to conduct a full-fledged dialogue with
students. Each student has to be involved in the learning process and feel like a part of a team. Resistance, creativity,
initiative are all vital parts of the teacher's qualities. A teacher serves as a navigator in a world full of information, who is
able to guide the students to what is the most valuable piece of information, isolating them from an unnecessary
impediment. Usually, the responsibility of the teacher is considered limited by others, mostly regarded as ensuring the
safety of the students but for me, it is way more than that. A teacher is responsible for the development, well-being, and
overall progress of the students. A teacher is a role model for our children, in a hectic, busy world, because by bringing
their children into the classroom, parents entrust their children's future to us, the teachers.
