MyLab & Modified Mastering with Canvas Student Registration
Instructions
Purchase the Access Code
The access code would allow you to link your MyLab and Mastering account to the Canvas
course so you could access e-textbook and the Mastering Biology homework your instructor
would assign.
In order to get the access code, please do one of the following
Purchase the text book Campbell Biology in Focus, 2nd edition, with MasteringBiology
Access code (the book has access code with it) from the college bookstore or online using
a credit card or PayPal account.
OR purchase just the access code (this is cheaper) from the college bookstore or online
using a credit card or PayPal account.
Enter Your Canvas Course:
1. Sign in to Canvas and enter your Canvas course.
2. Select the "MyLab and Mastering" link on the left hand navigation
Get Access to Your Pearson Course Content:
1. Enter your Pearson account username and password to Link Accounts.
You have an account if you have ever used a Pearson MyLab & Mastering product, such as
MyMathLab, MyITLab, MySpanishLab, MasteringBiology or MasteringPhysics.
If you don’t have a Pearson account, select Create and follow the instructions.
3. Select an access option:
Enter the access code that came with your textbook or was purchased separately from the
bookstore.
If available, get temporary access by selecting the link near the bottom of the page.
4. From the You’re Done page, select Go to My Courses.
Note: We recommend you always enter your MyLab & Modified Mastering course through
Canvas.
