MIXING MORTAR:-
 CEMENT:SAND SHALL BE 1:4 FOR NON LOAD BEARING AND 1:3 FOR LOAD BEARING
 MIXED MORTAR SHOULD NOT BE KEPT MORE THAN 35 MINUTES
BLOCK WORK –LAYING:-
 CUTTING OF THE BLOCKS BY MACHINE
 WET THE BLOCKS BEFORE PLACING TO AVOID THE WATER ABSORPTION FROM MORTAR
 JOINTS MUST BE FILLED WITH MORTAR OF NOT TO EXCEED 10mm
 LAYING OF BLOCK DEPEND ON THE LEVEL OF BEAM – BOTH SUB & SUPER STRUCTURE
 LAYING OF BLOCK SHALL BE STAGGERED MANNER, UNIFORM MANNER
 MAXIMUM HEIGHT FOR BLOCK WORK A DAY -1.2 M, DATE OF COMPLETION TO BE MARKED
 BUTTERFLY TIES – INSTALLED AT EVERY TWO LAYERS COURSE ON BLOCK WORK AND CONCRETE WORK
 WALL TIES FOR CAVITY WALLS AT EVERY 900 mm HORIZONTAL SPACING AND 400mm VERTICAL SPACING
 SLEEVES TO BE PROVIDED FOR THE SERVICES
 JUNCTION SHALL IN RIGHT ANGLE OR AS PER ARCHITECTURAL DRAWING

 CEMENT SAND RATIO OF MORTAR
 IRREGULARLY CUT BLOCKS
 NOT PROVIDING THE PROVISION FOR SERVICES
 NOT PROVIDING ACCESSORIES AT REQUIRED PLACES AT REQUIRED TIME
CONTROL & RECOVERY MEASURES
 LEVEL TO BE CHECKED FREQUENTLY, IF FOUND OFFSET, TO BE RECTIFIED IMMEDIATELY
 BLOCKS TO BE SOAKED BEFORE LAYING
 MIXING OF THE MORTAR TO BE DONE AS PER THE WORK REQUIREMENT ONLY, WITH RIGHT PROPORTION
 BLOCKS NOT TO BE CUT MANUALLY TO AVOID IRREGULARITIES
 RIGHT ANGLEDNESS TO BE CHECKED WHEREVER APPLICABLE
