Fabric Testing Guide for Manufacturers

This document provides testing requirements and performance standards for knitwear fabrics. It includes tests for composition, dimensional stability, bursting strength, pilling resistance, surface flash, snagging resistance, durability of prints and embellishments, colorfastness, and other properties. Fabrics must meet minimum requirements for each test in order to pass. Some tests are only required for certain fabric types or care labels. The tests help ensure knitwear fabrics maintain their integrity, appearance, and color over time and multiple wash/wear cycles.
