Provisioning SIP Peering/SIP Trunking

 Provisioning for a SIP Peering environment can be

done using 7 Major steps
– Step 1
 Decide to use the Default Address Context, or create a new one for
each carrier. New Address Contexts can only be created from the
Navigator GUI
– Step 2
 Provision Interface Groups and Interfaces as required . This can be
done in the Navigator GUI or from the system object of the EMA
workflows screen. You may opt to use existing Interface groups if there
are any in the address context you selected or created
– Step 3
 Access the SIP peering Wizard from the EMA workflows screen. We
will use the wizard for this example, however, only one person can be
using the wizard at once. In your exercise at the end of this module,
you will be using the Navigator GUI to do all of your provisioning.

information. This can also be done using the Navigator GUI
– Step 6
 Provision SIP Trunk Groups using the SIP Peering Wizard to enter the
information. This can also be done using the Navigator GUI
– Step 7
 Provision IP Peers using the SIP Peering Wizard to enter the
information. This can also be done using the Navigator GUI
 Test to see if you can option ping the remote endpoint
to validate your provisioning.

Local PSX Provisioning

 Routing is a global parameter, independent of address

context and zone. In the Navigator GUI, Call routing is
provisioned under the global object.
 Provisioning routes happens in the following order:
– Route Label – Step 1
– Routing Label Route – Step 2
– Route (Standard Route) – Step 3
