An avid follower of country music, a dedicated parent and
husband, and a diehard Cub fan, the late Bill Moriarty was
our own Peter Pan. As founding President of what was initially
the Rensselaer Children’s Summer Theatre he embodied the
spirit of Peter Pan. He believed tenaciously in the positive
potential of children and recognized the unique role which
make-believe can play in developing that potential. He worked
tirelessly to insure that the young people of Rensselaer would
always have an opportunity to experience the educational
power of the theatre. Throughout, Bill approached the
Children’s Theatre as he did life: with a youthful and joyous
zest and a deep respect for the power of theatre to set us
free.
This 20th Anniversary Production of Peter Pan is dedicated
to the memory of Bill Moriarty.
