Plant Growth & Care Diary

Mellany Siapo documented their progress in their garden and tree planting project over 21 days. They removed weeds from their plant beds, inspected plants for damage from insects, and pulled more weeds that were competing for nutrients. Their pechay and mustard greens grew bigger and were nearing harvest, while they also watered the plants and transplanted a mango seedling.

II. Documentation
DAY 15

On the 15th day of this project, my pechay plants are continuously growing,
so removed the weeds from the plant beds.
DAY 16

I removed some weeds again and inspect the plants for any damages.
DAY 17

Again, the weeds are competing for the nutrients from my vegetables, so I
pulled some of the weeds. The holes on the leaves of my plants were due to insects
or pests. However, as much as I can, I am not opting to use pesticides or
insecticides for a healthier produce from my plants.
DAY 18

Today, I watered the plant beds and have done inspecting the plants. In the
middle photo, I am showing the mango seedling for transplantation.
DAY 19

I am happy to tell you that my mustard greens and pechay are a lot bigger
now, and hopefully a full week or two more they are ready to be harvested.
DAY 20

I watered the plants again because they need more moisture as they mature.
In no time, they will be ready for harvesting.
DAY 21

Again, I did the weeding, and inspected the plants for damages and checked
the soil if they are still moist from my watering yesterday.
