ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS OF
FALL`2021
DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINESTRATION
The objective of the orientation program is to welcome new students and introduce them to
university facilities, faculty members, the academic system and the rules and regulations of the
institution.
Chief Guest:
Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder Vice Chancellor, East West
University.
Special guest:
Dr. Anup Chowdhury, Professor, Department of Business Administration & Dean, Faculty of
Business and Economics.
Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Faculty of Business and Economics. Chairperson & Associate Professor
Department of Business Administration.
Guest of honor:
Md. Abdul Momen, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration.

Time Event
8:30 am – 9:00am ORIENTATION CHECK IN
Student who are attending the orientation , please be sure to check in
within the time because students will be informed about their advising
room and some important notices immediately after checking in.
9:00 am - 9:30am OPENING RECEPTION
Students will be warmly received by the volunteers with a flower stick,
Undergrad bulletin, lunch coupon and other necessary things for the
session in venue.
9:30am - 9:40am RECITATION OF THE HOLY QURAN
The program will start with the recitation of some verses from Holy
Quran and with the remembrance of ALLAH (STW).
9:40 am- 9:55am WELCOME SPEECH
Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Faculty of Business and Economics. Chairperson
& Associate Professor. Department of Business Administration, will
welcome the Fresher `s and in her welcoming speech she will brief
about the EWU policy and guidelines, academic necessities and also
will introduce the department’s Faculty Members.
9:55am- 10:50 am INTRODUCTORY SPEECH
Chief Guest ,Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder
Vice Chancellor, East West University will also welcome the Fresher's
to the EWU and encourage them to prepare themselves for the welfare
of the country and countrymen. Special guests and guest of honor will
also deliver their short speech emphasized on the future prospects.
11:00am – 12:45pm FRESHER’s PARTICIPATION
Students will be asked to introduce themselves and can ask questions if
they have any further quarry about any prospect.
12:45pm- 1: 20 pm LUNCH BREAK
Students will dine together in food court by showing their lunch
coupon.
1:30pm-2:00 pm ACADEMIC ADVISING
This will occur in different rooms for the students by their student ID.
The room number was given while checking in. advisor will advise the
courses for fall2021 semester. Volunteers will help the students to find
the room or for any kind of problem.
2:00pm- 2:20 pm STUDENT AFFIARS INFORMATION
The student affair stuff will introduce the wide verity of opportunities
available to the students and will highlight all the departmental and club
activities in the previous academic sessions.
2:30pm- 3:00pm ENDING CEREMONY
The orientation will successfully end by serving campus visit for the
newly admitted students.
Things to be aware:
Students should bring a printed copy of their orientation email confirmation with details.
To meet the requirement of attending an academic orientation, the student must attend the
entire session.
Walking to various locations will be a part of your day. So you will suggest to wear
comfortable formal shoes and dress.
Face mask is mandatory for all to attend the session.
Students are highly recommended to maintain discipline.
Students can seek help from volunteers for any kind of problem.
