B. TECHNICAL INFORMATION

1. RATIONALE
Amlan is a primary agricultural municipality. Majority of our constituents relied
on farming and fishing as their main source of livelihood to generate income. However,
despite their efforts to attain and sustain such productivity and income, the lack of
planting materials and propagated plants became a hindrance.
To be able to cope up with the steadily increasing demand of planting materials
to increase the production and availability plants and uplift their economic condition as
well as the standard of living nowadays, farmers should find means to increase
production of propagules.
Aside from giving updates on technologies on crop production to increase farm
income, farmers also need to be encouraged to engage in plant propagation, specifically
production of good quality planting materials, which is very advantageous to address
the increasing demand of planting materials in the municipality. However, interested
farmers should undergo an intensive training to capacitate and equip them with
appropriate HVC plant propagation technologies that will eventually minimize failures
on their endeavor, hence, this proposal.

2. OBJECTIVES
General Objectives:
 To be able to train farmers regarding the principles and methods on high
value crop plant propagation.
 To increase the availability of propagated planting materials available in
the municipality.
Specific Objectives:
 To discuss the principles of plant propagation principles and techniques.
 To be able to promote and encourage farmers to engage in plant
propagation practices.
 To have practical training of farmers in the propagation techniques.
 To provide hands on practicum of farming in plant propagation
techniques and practices.
Participants:
 Selected 25 farmers engaging high value crop production from
Barangay Jantianon and Silab.

3. ACTIVITIES/METHODOLOGY
 Conduct of 3 days session on significant topics for Plant propagation
principles.
 Conduct hands-on practicum of farmers on plant propagation
procedures.

4. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
 3 days sessions on HVC planting material propagation conducted with
25 participants
 Propagated planting materials produce by 25 participants
 Produce propagated planting materials
