Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics V
I. OBJECTIVE/S:
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. describes polygons with 5 or more sides;
b. arrange the cut-out pieces and form it into regular polygon; and
c. show enthusiasm in performing any assigned task.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Polygons

5. It is a pair of lines that never meet
a. Parallel Line b. Intersecting Line c. Perpendicular Line
d. Line Segment
b. Motivation
Post a picture of a group of people wearing T’nalak traditional cloth
woven. Then ask the question:
a. What can you say about the picture?
b. Which figure is the easiest to make?
c. What are the shapes that can be seen in T’nalak?
c. Game
“Use me in a Tangrams”
Instruction: Let the students complete the Tangrams Puzzle Game
provided.
C. Lesson Proper
a. Ask the learners what is Polygon?
b. Introduce the Regular, Irregular and Not Polygons
c. Discuss the different sides of each Polygon and its angle.
D. Concluding Activities
a. Remediation
1. Show pictures and let students identify if it’s Polygon or Not.
2. Name the Polygons in the Picture provided.
3. Show another set of pictures and let students identify whether it is a
Regular or Irregular Polygon.
b. Reinforcement
Give a worksheet. Let students label the Shape with its correct name,
number of sides and number of vertices.
c. Enrichment
The students will provided cut out materials and arrange it to form a
polygon. Then write its name under the image.
IV. ASSESSMENT
A. Assessment as Learning
Make a simple reflection on our lesson today. Make at least 3 to 4 sentences and
write it on your Math notebooks.
B. Assessment for Learning
Give worksheet and let the students write their answer to the questions given.
1. Gina has t’nalak cloth that has diamond shape design. How many sides are
there in diamond?
2. The triangle shape in the t’nalak is an example of?
3. In mathematics, what do you think the exact angle of a triangle?
4. What do you call a closed plane figure that it has two-dimensional object?
C. Assessment of Learning
