Factors affecting the training process in ABC & Co manufacturing company
Training is a systematic process intended to enhance employees' efficiency and connects
the job requirements with the employees' present job description (EL Hajjar & Alkhanaizi,
2018). However, the training programs implemented in ABC & Co company have not shown any
appreciable outcome. The failure of the lecturing method of the training process used can be
associated with several factor. One of the factors is the lack of managerial support and the
unfavorable departmental atmosphere. Lack of managerial support limits the implementation of
ideas and changes that employees have acquired in the training process, whereas the unfavorable
environment affects the lecturing process effectiveness (Punia & Kant, 2013). The lecturing
method is another factor that could hinder the training effectiveness in ABC & Co company
since its activities revolve around machinery work, which is more of technical work than theory.
The training content, practice, and expertise used in the training process must be related to the
ABC & Co company activities to enhance training effectiveness. The employee’s individual
behaviors, attitude, and emotional intelligence towards the training process is another factor that
affected the training effectiveness in ABC & Co company. This is because the employees’
perception toward the training process determines whether they will be ready to acquire
knowledge and skills and implement the new ideas and changes in their daily activities in the
company.
Training intervention for ABC & Co company
The effective training process in ABC & Co company will increase the efficiency of
work performance and enhance the company's continuous running to provide quality machinery
and quality maintenance services to the government. One of the factors which will enhance the
training effectiveness is motivating employees towards the training process. When employees are
motivated, they will actively participate in the training program and address the relevant issue
they face in their work or even during the training process, contributing to an effective training
process (El Hajjar & Alkhanaiza, 2018). The contents of the training must be tailored in such a
way that it's related to the activities of ABC & Co company. This will ensure that employees
understand the content and apply the skill and knowledge acquired into the company activities.
The use of an appropriate training method that incorporates various training techniques like
practical training will also enhance the company's training effectiveness. This is due to the work
nature of ABC & Co, which involves machinery work. Managerial and departmental
incorporation in the training process will facilitate its success by ensuring that the new skills and
knowledge are applied in the company’s activities.
