1 General information
In the context of this document ASC represents ASC Technologies AG, its subsidiaries, branch
offices, and distributors. An up-to-date overview of the aforementioned entities can be found at

ASC assumes no guarantee for the actuality, correctness, integrity or quality of the information

2 Introduction
This document describes the installation of the interface to the software Google Stackdriver.
Google Stackdriver is a cloud computing systems management service offered by Google. The
neosoftware is integrated into the central logging services of Google Stackdriver by sending the
default logging and monitoring events.
For information about how to set up and configure the Google Stackdriver drive refer to the ad-
ministration manual for system providers Configuration drives.
For information about how to configure notifications to the Stackdriver recipient refer to the ad-
ministration manual for system providers Notifications module and in the administration manual
for tenants Notifications module.

3.1 Install Google Stackdriver
To install Google Stackdriver proceed as follows:
1. Start the Windows Explorer.
2. Change to the directory Program Files (x86)\ASC\ASC Product Suite\thirdparty\Stack-
DriverLoggingAgent.
3. Execute the file StackdriverLogging-v1-11.exe.
ð Closes the window of the installation wizard is opened automatically.
4. From the drop-down list, select a language and click on the button OK.

5. Click on the button Next.

6. Click on the button I Agree.

7. Click on the button Install.
NOTICE! The default installation directory must not be changed.

3.2 Configuration file
1. Start the Windows Explorer.
2. Change to the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\ASC\ASC Product Suite\thirdparty\Stack-
DriverLoggingAgent.
3. Copy the file asc.conf to the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Stackdriver\LoggingAgent
\config.d\.
3.3 Authorizing the agent
Install private-key service account credentials on a VM instance to authorize the Cloud Logging
agent.
