San Vicente Senior High School held a Learning Action Cell session on November 6, 2020 with six parents of Grade 12 students to discuss ways to improve the Weekly Learning Activity Sheets (WLAS) for the subject English for Professional and Academic Purposes. 2. The objectives of the session were to get suggestions from parents on how to make the WLAS easier to understand and more substantial for students to learn, to develop WLAS with parental input, and to maximize student learning through improved WLAS. 3. An accomplishment report noted that the parents shared their children's difficulties with modules and were eager to provide recommendations to enhance the WLAS since they cannot directly assist their children.

Activity Plan: WLAS Making with the Participation of the Grade 12 Parents
Date of Implementation: November 6, 2020

I. Background and Rationale

English for Professional and Academic Purposes is one of the subjects in Grade 12 with many activities.
During pre-pandemic times, Mock Job Interview and Students’ Conduct of Seminars were done during the
last phase of the subject. The subject teachers were apprehensive because these activities will not be done
anymore. That is the reason why one of the subject teachers initiated a Learning Action Cell (LAC) session in
the community where the parents of the Grade 12 students belong. The said parents suggested ways on how
to make the Weekly Learning Activity Sheet (WLAS) in a manner that the topics will still be substantial for
the students to learn and at the same time, easy to be understood.

II. Objectives
a. to solicit suggestions from parents on how to make the WLAS of English for Professional and
Academic Purposes easy to understand and worthy to be learned by the Grade 12 students;
b. to make WLAS with the help of the Grade 12 parents;
c. to ensure that Grade 12 students can maximize learning with the use of WLAS.

III. Description / Scope of the Activity

a. This is intended for the Grade 12 students of San Vicente National High School for the subject English for
Professional and Academic Purposes.

b. This is just to guide the succeeding WLAS

Accomplishment Report: WLAS Making with the Participation of the Grade 12 Parents

Narrative:
The Learning Action Cell (LAC) session on November 6, 2020 was successfully done. There were six (6)
Grade 12 parents attendees. They shared their sentiments of their students’ difficulties in answering the
modules. They showed eagerness in suggesting ways to make the WLAS easy to understand since they
can’t assist their children in answering the modules. Attached is a video showing the conduct of the LAC
session.
