Collective Bargaining Agreement

Know all stakeholders by these presents:

This Agreement made and executed by and between:

Department of Education (DepED), a government agency duly organized and existing under
the virtue of the laws of The Republic of the Philippines, whose role is to maintained and
nourished the sector of basic education in the country, with principal office in Pasig City,
Metro Manila. Hereinafter referred as an “institution” that provide in the above cited field.

Kilusan ng mga Gurong Nagtatanggol sa Bayan, is a legitimate teacher organization with


registration permit No. ********, affiliated with teachers union of the country, with principal
office at City of San Fernando, Pampanga, hereinafter referred as a “Union”.

WITNESSETH THAT

WHEREAS, the UNION is the sole and exclusive representative of the all public school
teachers of the INSTITUTION, directly recognized by the latter upon submission by the
UNION of the list of its members composing more than the majority of the teachers
constituting the appropriate bargaining unit.

WHEREAS, the INSTITUTION and the UNION have agreed in principle to enter into a
covenant in accordance to the Labor Code of the Philippines for the purpose of establishing,
maintaining, and regulating the standard hours of work (revised)* salary and other terms and
conditions of teachers; affording economic as well as material benefits, equal justice,
protection and job security; assuring and sustaining high teaching efficiency; competence and
performance; assuring the continuous progress of the sector providing high quality education;
and establishing a firm basis and clear understanding of rights and obligations of both

stakeholder with outmost mutual respect; providing means for the amicable settlement of all
disputes with regards that, it is constitutionally bounded for a progressive and effective
relationship as well as for mutual benefits.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and of the
covenants, undertakings, terms and conditions hereunder set and forth, it is hereby mutually
agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows:
