Stainless Steel: About Stainless Steel Chemical Components and Mechanical Properties of Various Stainless Steel Materials

This document summarizes information about stainless steel, including its chemical components, mechanical properties, and categories. Stainless steel is an alloy steel containing at least 11% chromium, along with other elements like nickel, molybdenum, copper, aluminum, and silicon added to improve properties. There are different categories of stainless steel including martensitic, ferritic, and austenitic types based on their metal composition and hardening characteristics. Various stainless steel materials are also classified by their specific chemical components and ranges, mechanical properties like tensile strength and hardness, and applicable product codes.
