1 At Birchip High School, a survey was conducted of Year 8 students to find if hot chips should be sold at
the school canteen. The results are shown in the two-way table below.

Find the probability that a Year 8 student:

a wants hot chips sold at the canteen

b does not wants hot chips sold at the canteen

c is a boy who wants hot chips sold at the canteen

d is a girl who does not want hot chips sold at the canteen.

in the incomplete table below.

teachers. Information about the students’ resting pulse and their performance on a beep test is shown in
the incomplete two-way table below.
